Jesconiah Siahaan or Jesco as he is better known, is the co-founding as well as the managing partner of the firm. Prior to establishing Siahaan Gea, he experienced almost ten years of legal practice as a senior associate in dispute resolution practice group of a tier one as well as Indonesia’s largest law firm, Assegaf Hamzah & Partners (member of Rajah & Tann Asia Network).

His practice focuses on providing legal advice and representation or assistance on a variety of contentious and non-contentious legal issues, particularly commercial disputes related to civil, insolvency, corporate, aviation, consumer, property, public administrative and criminal law. Besides admitted to the bar, Jesco is also a licensed bankruptcy receiver and administrator (Kurator dan Pengurus) and certified mediator.

Jesco holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Indonesia and Master of Law Degree (LL.M) in International Economic and Business Law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. He is fluent in Indonesian and English.

Successfully represented a ship manufacturer public company in a bankruptcy petition filed by its creditors in the first and appeal stage of the courts.
Appointed by the commercial courts as administrator (Pengurus) in a number of suspension of payment (PKPU) process of various companies among others real estate developer, hotel developer, IT provider and infrastructure companies.
Appointed by the commercial courts as bankruptcy receiver (Kurator) in a number of bankruptcy process of private companies and individuals, among others hotel developer, metal manufacturer and infrastructure companies.
Successfully represented creditors in filing bankruptcy petition against a state-owned infrastructure company.

against a ±USD 7 million civil claim related to mining concession
in the District Court and High Court level.
Successfully represented a state-owned mining company
against a state-administrative claim related to the company’s
mining permits.
Successfully represented a regional government-owned bank
against a civil claim filed by a customer related to the credit
facility, in the District Court level.
Successfully represented a syndication of offshores
creditors in a suspension of payment process of one of the largest
oil and gas drilling companies.
Successfully represented an Indonesian-flag air carrier
against a ±USD 300,000 civil claim filed by passengers, in the
District Court and High Court level.

Successfully represented telecommunications operator in
relation to a tort claim arising out of damage to fiber optic
cables.
Successfully defended a petrochemical foreign investment
company in the District Court level against a lawsuit filed by a
security service provider company for the allegation of
non-performance of the contract.
Advised a foreign civil aircraft manufacturer as regards
the legal implications of the crash of an aircraft in Indonesia.

caused pollution and extracted water without a license.

Johanes Gea or you could also call him Jo, is the co-founding as well as the partner of the firm. Before establishing Siahaan Gea, he experienced almost ten years of legal practice as Public Defender at The Jakarta Legal Aid Institute subsequently as leading criminal lawyer in dispute resolution practice group of a premier as well as Indonesia`s largest law firm.

Since commencing his practice, Jo has naturally gravitated towards criminal law, area of the law in which he is passionate to defend legal right of victim, suspect/defendant in criminal proceedings as well as a convicted person in the judicial review phase. Additionally, Jo is also an experienced lawyer in handling a variety of contentious and non-contentious commercial disputes related to civil, bankruptcy and suspension of payment, corporate, shipping, family, employment, property, judicial review, administrative dispute.
